🎤 Guest Speaker
Ruhmeet Garcha is the founder of Help A Girl Out – End Period Poverty and The Pink Tax, inspired by her experience growing up in Jamaica where menstrual products were a luxury. Since launching HAGO in 2018, she has delivered thousands of menstrual hygiene kits to underserved communities across Canada and abroad. Her work has been recognized with several prestigious awards—including the Global Citizen Canada Hero Award and a Youth Advocacy Award from the Toronto Youth Cabinet. Ruhmeet holds a BSc in Medical Physics and is pursuing a Master’s in Biomedical Physics at Ryerson/TMU University, focusing her research on advancing medical imaging for proton therapy.
