In Our Community
BPW Brampton Caledon members actively support five local Community Partners through a variety of fundraising initiatives. Our members come together to meet immediate local needs by organizing fundraising at general meetings with 50/50 draws and book sales; seasonal drives featuring meat, seafood, cakes, and cookies and our annual Golf Tournament.
These efforts reflect our commitment to grassroots action and community care, demonstrating how BPW makes a meaningful difference at the local level.

Across the Province
For the 2025 Club Year, the BPW Brampton Caledon Resolutions Committee is submitting one commendation and one resolution. This year, we are proud to partner with BPW Niagara Falls on a joint resolution titled: “Addressing Gender-Specific Mental Health Needs and Reforming Ontario’s Mental Health Care System.”
At the BPW Ontario AGM, drafted resolutions are debated, amended, and voted on. If adopted, they become part of a Brief sent to the provincial government, relevant ministries, opposition parties, and allied organizations, calling for action.
These briefs contain clear directives urging government action on the issues that matter most to women in Ontario.
We encourage all members to connect with their local Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) to share the Brief and help advance BPW’s advocacy at the community level.
Across Canada
This year, the BPW Brampton Caledon Resolution Committee has submitted three key resolutions:
- Federal Income Tax Equity and Single Senior Women
- Standing with Afghan Women and Girls
- Criminalizing Coercive Control in Intimate Relationships (a follow-up to last year’s resolution on prioritizing femicide in Canada’s Criminal Code)
These resolutions will be presented at the BPW Canada Annual General Meeting, where members from across the country will discuss, debate, and vote on national policy priorities.
Once passed, the approved resolutions will be compiled into a federal Brief, submitted to the Government of Canada, relevant ministries, opposition leaders, and allied organizations, following a process similar to the provincial level.
In addition, the club has submitted two emergency resolutions on Gender Equity in Artificial Intelligence, underscoring our commitment to addressing urgent and emerging issues.
