Why Join?
1 – DEVELOP A NETWORK OF INTERGENERATIONAL WOMEN FROM DIVERSE INDUSTRIES AND BACKGROUNDS
Join a supportive group of intergenerational women from diverse industries and backgrounds and develop a network of contacts locally, provincially, nationally, and internationally. BPW International is one of the most influential international networks of business and professional women, with affiliates in over 100 countries on five continents.
2 – ACCESS TO ACTIVITIES
Attend general meetings, webinars, and support panels featuring expert and inspiring women leaders. These engaging events celebrate women’s success and leadership while offering education, up-to-date insights on current issues, and valuable networking opportunities.
3 – MENTORING PROGRAM
The Women Strengthening Women (WSW) program is a transformative online experience designed for BPW Ontario members. It offers a unique opportunity to connect, learn, and grow within BPW’s supportive community.
Whether seeking guidance to develop specific skills or eager to share your experiences and empower others, WSW welcomes you as a mentee, mentor, or both! This program allows you to make meaningful connections from the comfort of your home while benefiting from the flexibility and convenience of online mentoring.
4 – COMMITTEE INVOLVEMENT
BPW has four key pillars: Leadership, Collaboration, Advocacy, and Learning. You can actively participate in committees to engage and contribute as change agents in BPW-led initiatives.
For example, our advocacy work allows women to be involved in the key issues affecting women in the Cities of Brampton and Caledon, across Ontario and Canada, and worldwide. You can visit our Advocacy Tab for details. Your voice matters!
If you would like to fine-tune (or build) your leadership skills, join our board. If you enjoy collaborating, join one of our committees. If you enjoy teaching, volunteer to lead learning webinars. There are so many options.
5 – TRAINING
Within the BPW organization, you can participate in club, provincial, national, and international training sessions. Clubs provide a “training ground” for developing leadership skills in a safe and supportive environment, allowing members to build networks and create lasting and supportive friendships at all levels. Members participate in various activities that lead to personal and professional development and career advancement.
6 – SUPPORT OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY
Club members organize various events and fund-raisers throughout the year. The best part is that with your participation, we continue to support our deserving Community Partners and allow them to assist the community.
7 – MEMBER AREA ON THE SITE
Members enjoy exclusive access to discounts, helpful tools, and a dedicated library of resources and reference materials.
BPW Brampton Caledon annual membership dues $150. Your membership includes club, provincial, national, and international federation dues, encouraging participation at all events. Members receive a tax slip to include in their annual tax filing.
BPW International has Consultative Status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and now includes affiliates in more than 100 countries around the world.
